Beef Goulash

Serves 4

Per serve:



  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat with 3 tablespoons of the olive oil.
  2. Add the garlic and onions and cook until onions are soft and golden brown (about 12 minutes).
  3. Remove onions from pot and set aside.
  4. Heat the remaining olive oil in the pot. Add the meat and brown lightly.
  5. Add the onions, salt paprika, caraway seeds, cayenne pepper, tomato sauce.
  6. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring, before adding the stock. Simmer gently for about 1 hours or until the meat is very tender.
  7. Pour into bowls and serve with a dollop of sour cream.
