Savory FibreX Loaf
Serves 18 slices per loaf
- Grams of carbohydrate per slice - 0.6
- Grams of protein per slice - 4.6
- 1 1/2 cups Empower Foods FibreX Breakfast Cereal
- 75g grated tasty cheese
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3 tsp dried onion flakes
- 2 tsp dried chopped chives
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 free range eggs
- 1/2 cup water
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Mix together dry ingredients.
- Add the eggs and water. Mix well.
- Pour into a well-greased 11cm x 21cm loaf tin.
- Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes until top has set.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing.
Tasty Tip:This is great toasted and spread with a little butter.
Slice up the entire loaf and store it in a zip-lock bag in the freezer.
